Join us for the 41st Forum on Tolerance, October 19th and 20th.

A Two-Day, Lynn Campus Event
NSCC Students FREE for both days. Space is limited. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

An engaging, deep learning experience with an exchanging of ideas on the issues of privilege and power in the history of our country. With the help of outstanding keynote speakers and dynamic workshops, we will explore issues such as income inequality, disparities in the justice system, and barriers to education and employment, as impediments to progress.

This is not about blame; it is about increasing our awareness, building alliances, and taking action. Your attendance is an investment in the future of our communities, which are enriched by diverse experiences.

Our outstanding keynote speakers include:

  • Yusef Salaam, one of the Central Park Five, who after years of incarceration was exonerated and now speaks out on social justice.
  • Barbara J. Love, Professor Emerita of Social Justice Education at UMass Amherst.
  • Jacqueline Battalora, author of Birth of a White Nation.

Distinguished workshop presenters include:

  • Claudia Fox Tree, from The Massachusetts Center for Native American Awareness.
  • Eddie Moore, Jr., author and editor of The Guide for White Women Who Teach Black Boys and Executive Director of The Privilege Institute.
  • Debby Irving, author of Waking up White
  • Chuck Collins, author of Born on Third Base

We invite everyone to participate in this dialogue. These issues have never been more important than they are today. Contact us with any questions you may have.
