North Shore Community College will hold their June Supervisors’ Connection, Employee Files: What & How to Document, Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 8-10 a.m. at NSCC’s Corporate Training Solutions (CTS), 1 Ferncroft Road, DS106, Danvers. Cost is $39 per workshop.
As employers and managers there are many requirements about what to keep in an employee file. It’s important to know what to keep where and for how long. How to effectively document certain events can be tricky because they don’t happen frequently. We will cover the broad scope of an employee file and employee documentation. This will be a great foundation to do a full employee file audit.
In this class, participants will learn:
- What an employee file is and the biggest issues employers run into for not knowing this answer.
- What goes into an employee’s personnel file (and what should not be included).
- How to use an employee file and employee documents to help improve employee performance.
Facilitator Laurie LaBrie, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has expertise on all aspects of human resources and the full life cycle of an employee.
