North Shore Community College will hold their April Supervisors’ Connection, Giving Feedback, Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 8-10 a.m. at NSCC’s Corporate Training Solutions (CTS), 181 Elliott Street, 100 Cummings Center, Suite 121E, Beverly. Cost is $39 per workshop and includes a continental breakfast.
No one has the ability to succeed without knowing what they are doing well, and where they need to improve. When you deliver feedback effectively, your employees know if they are achieving goals, and how to proceed if they are not moving in the right direction. But, what makes feedback effective? How does a Supervisor deliver feedback so that the employee receives it openly and really uses it? What words are more appropriate?
In this highly interactive workshop, we will focus on the skills necessary for Supervisors to deliver effective performance feedback to their staff. Takeaways will include:
• Guidelines for delivering both positive and developmental feedback
• The use of a model for delivering feedback
• Communication skills requirements when delivering feedback
Facilitator: Ginny Maglio holds a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Training & Development. She works closely with clients to develop learning solutions that align with overall business goals. One of her key content areas is delivering feedback effectively.
NSCC’s Supervisors’ Connection is a give-and-take forum where supervisors and managers exchange information and ideas with colleagues from other industries.
