NSCC’s Annual Law Day Lecture, Why Every Vote Matters: American Democracy and the Rule of Law

North Shore Community College invites the public to its annual Law Day Lecture Thursday, May 1, 7:30 – 9 a.m.  The lecture will be held in the Lynn Campus gym, 300 Broad Street and will be teleconferenced to the Danvers Campus, 1 Ferncroft Road,  Math & Sciences building, room DS119.

This year’s Law Day theme is Why Every Vote Matters: American Democracy and the Rule of Law.  The guest speakers will be Dr. Keith Bentele and Dr. Erin O’Brien, both professors at UMass Boston who will address this theme with a lecture from their research work and article entitled: “Jim Crow 2.0? Why States Consider and Adopt Restrictive Voter Access Policies.”
