NSCC Presents Dracula, Re-Vamped!

dracula_postcard smNorth Shore Community College’s (NSCC) Performing Arts Council presents Dracula, Re-Vamped, a twisted retelling of the classic vampire thriller. Performances will be held at Lynn Arts, Inc., 25 Exchange Street, Lynn on December 4 & 5 at 7 p.m. and also on December 5 & 6 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $7 general admission, $5 for seniors and students (with ID), children 10 & under are free.

After centuries of rest, conditions are right for the wicked Count Dracula to rise from the dead…and seek his one true bride.  He sets his sights on the young and lovely Miss Lucy Seward and determines to do everything in his power to claim her for his own!  But poor Lucy is already truly, madly, deeply in love with young hero, Jonathan Harker – who doesn’t stand a chance at winning his ladylove unless he can come up with a small fortune in a hurry.

Add to the plot a cunning old vampire hunter, an outraged bride from Dracula’s past, an over-sized pup, a potent good fairy, and an indispensable dame and we have the ingredients for one of the zaniest versions of the Dracula story yet!

Written and directed by Salem’s Matthew Woods, NSCC’s Performing Arts Coordinator, Dracula, Re-Vamped features the musical direction of Aaron Keebaugh, of Salem, costumes designed by Cotton Talbot-Minkin, of Wenham and stage management by Rachel Clay, from Topsfield.
