The 2014 graduating class had an 87% pass rate in the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses, known as NCLEX. NSCC’s NCLEX pass rate was the highest among schools on the North Shore and was more than 5 points higher than the national pass rate.
“NSCC NCLEX pass rates have been consistently above the national pass rate which was 81.79 % in 2014,” said Susan Maciewicz, NSCC’s Director of Nurse Education. “I believe the success of our students is a result of the students’ commitment to their education, the value they put into their work and the quality of diverse learning experiences in the classroom, clinical area, nursing skills and simulation laboratories.”
“In addition, the Nursing Faculty is committed to preparing students to be safe practitioners and this shows in the support offered to students,” Maciewicz added. The Nursing Program has a learning community that is fostered by the faculty to challenge and support students so they can do their best.”
