New scholarships awarded this year include the following: Sandy Edwards Leadership Scholarship; Liberty Mutual Group Scholarship; Seaside Garden Club Scholarship; Robert H. Fouhy Family Scholarship; North Shore Elder Services Scholarship; A. James Lynch Insurance Scholarship; Martha & Randolph P. Farmer Memorial Scholarship; Jane Saltonstall Education Scholarship; Deborah White Memorial Scholarship and Coastal Capital Group Scholarship.
“It is our pleasure to acknowledge the outstanding educational achievements of these distinguished NSCC students,” said Stephen Vesey, president of the NSCC Foundation. “We congratulate the student recipients as well as the NSCC faculty and staff who so ably help them reach their goals. And, we thank the donors who, through their financial support, have made these awards possible.
The awards were announced at a breakfast attended by student recipients and the donors whose generosity made the scholarships possible. For 30 years the NSCC Foundation has presented scholarships to NSCC students to help pay for increasing educational expenses. In total, over 3,633 students have been awarded nearly $3 million.
About 60% of students attending NSCC receive some sort of financial assistance. For many deserving students, scholarship assistance bridges a critical gap between financial aid and payments out-of-pocket. NSCC students who would like more information about applying for a scholarship should contact Teresa Lord at (978) 739-5502 or email@example.com.
