Starting this September, North Shore Community College (NSCC) will be offering a new, short-term Quality Systems Training program that will provide students with the concepts and skills necessary for jobs in Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Training is free to qualified individuals.
The 6-week, noncredit training program begins on September 11 and runs through October 20. Classes will be held Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-3pm, at NSCC’s Lynn Campus, 300 Broad Street and on Fridays, 10am-1pm at the North Shore Career Center, 70 Washington Street, Salem. Program applicants will be assessed in math and reading skills.
Sessions will cover: Quality Management Systems, Compliance Auditing, Metrology Concepts, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Data Analysis, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Professional Practices, and Lean Six Sigma.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion and will be prepared to earn a nationally recognized certification through the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
This program is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.
