Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Info Session, May 25

NSCC_CTS_Learn how your business could be one of those selected to receive up to $250,000 in state training resources. Attend a Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund info session  on Wednesday, May 25, 8-10 a.m. at North Shore Community College’s (NSCC), Corporate Training Solutions (CTS), 1 Ferncroft Road, DS106, Danvers, MA. There is no cost to attend.

The Commonwealth’s Workforce Training Fund is a state fund enacted into law in July 1998 and financed entirely by Massachusetts employers. Its purpose is to provide resources to Massachusetts businesses and workers to train current and newly hired employees.

Businesses will learn how to apply for funding to:
*Train employees in new technologies and production methods to remain competitive
*Improve employee English skills
*Upgrade supervisor and manager skills
*Improve analytical skills to support productivity
*Improve sales techniques

Featured speaker is Kristen O’Neil, Program Manager for the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund program.

To be eligible to apply for a workforce training fund grant, a company must pay into unemployment insurance.  Companies that are self-insured are not eligible for this program.

The seminar is sponsored by the North Shore Chamber of Commerce, the Beverly Chamber of Commerce and the North Shore Workforce Investment Board, along with the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund.
