North Shore Community College will hold their January Supervisors’ Connection, Increasing Productivity Through Positivity, Wednesday, January 14, 2015, from 8-10 a.m. at NSCC’s Corporate Training Solutions (CTS), 181 Elliott Street, 100 Cummings Center, Suite 121E, Beverly. Cost is $39pp and includes a continental breakfast.
Chances are you have seen the unfortunate impact of negativity in the workplace. Negative mindsets and interactions can breed conflict and erode productivity. Research in the field of positive psychology shows that positivity can be learned and–when applied– can lead to high performing teams and workplaces. Supervisors play a critical role in encouraging positivity at work.
In this class, participants will learn to:
- Describe results of research on engaging employees with positivity and how it applies to the leadership of your team
- Identify ways to engage employees through positivity, including how to maintain a positive perspective in difficult times
- Develop methods for providing meaningful recognition and encouragement
- Determine how to include engagement strategies into performance and development planning
