North Shore Community College will hold their January Supervisors’ Connection, Change is Inevitable; Suffering is Optional, Wednesday, January 17, 2018, from 8-10 a.m. at NSCC’s Corporate Training Solutions (CTS), 1 Ferncroft Road, DS106, Danvers. Cost is $49 per workshop.
Forty years ago the topic of change was inconsequential. Today, knowledge of and proficiency with change management is a prerequisite to organizational survival. This change management revolution is driven by an environment where the only constant is change. This workshop will better equip participants to lead change initiative in a “painless” environment.
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand why and how people resist change
- Understand the leader’s role in initiating, launching and sustaining change
- Be familiar with several time-tested and highly effective change management tools
- Understand and manage the emotions associated with disruptive change
Facilitator: For the past 35 years Gerry Bruno has been a change agent and facilitator. He is the author/creator of the “Change is Inevitable; Suffering is Optional” workbook and workshop. For the past 7 years he has been a member of a Booz-Allen facilitation team implementing a nationwide “Leading Change” initiative at Veterans Affairs.
