Ever dreamed of a career in nursing but don’t have your high school diploma? Through an innovative new program at North Shore Community College’s Adult Learning Center (ALC) those interested can participate in an eight-month training and education opportunity for just the cost of their time and commitment.

Participants will study for their high school equivalency, complete a Certified Nursing Assistant course and earn college credits by the end of the summer. Classes will be held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 9:30 am – 1:30 pm on the college’s Danvers campus. Classes begin January 28 and will continue through August.

“We are very fortunate that, through the generosity of an anonymous donor who believes in the power of lifelong learning, we can offer this program to students at no cost other than what they will put into it in time and program commitment,” said Stacy Randell-Shaheen, ALC Coordinator. “This program is particularly valuable as it is an entry way into nursing which is a high demand, good paying career.”

Pre-registration is required. Contact Diane Amelia Read at 978-236-1245 or dread01@northshore.edu no later than January 22,2019 to schedule an appointment. For more information on this and other NSCC Adult Learning Center programs go to northshore.edu/adult_learning.
