Daylin Dominguez Lopez of Boston has received the Lisa Milso Distinguished Service Award, presented at North Shore Community College’s recent 51st annual Student Service Awards Ceremony. This annual award honors an “up and coming” student leader who demonstrates an outstanding spirit of service, along with kindness and concern for others.
The award is named for NSCC’s late Director of Student Life, Lisa Milso, who, throughout her more than 28 years at NSCC, touched the lives of countless students by listening and caring and encouraging them to get involved at the college and in the community.
A pre-engineering student, Dominguez Lopez, who emigrated from Honduras, serves as a Presidential Scholar, and is a member of the MultiCultural Society, the Engineering Club and the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Club, where he is currently the vice president.
Always cheerful and welcoming, he is quick to offer assistance to other students and to participate in college events. His award nomination letter described him as “a force of positivity, hard work, dedication, and resilience.
